Job Description


In this role, you have the opportunity to manage daily activities in service, test, and/or material logistics within the service center unit. Drive lean initiatives, including (but not limited to) Kaizen's, lean deployment and continuous improvement.   Manage workload and plan resources according to work needed within own service center.  Ensuring cross trained workforce to maximize flexibility.  

You are responsible for (but not limited to)

  • Establish and use performance indicator metrics  (Quality, Cost, Delivery, Safety, People) to meet business goals
  • Ensure your team is delivering expected results; take appropriate action when necessary.
  • Manage resources and team with other departments as necessary.
  • Establish and cultivate a Continuous Improvement culture, constantly challenging the team to take their performance to the next level.
  • Identify, develop, and implement operational strategies to monitor and improve the performance of your area. 
  • Create and maintain high performance team with focus on teamwork, training, associate ownership, self-direction, and accountability.
  • Mentor and develop individuals in job responsibilities to best position them for success.
  • Manages the change process by aligning efforts across boundaries
  • Reinforces to others the need for lean and agile ways of working that decrease variability and increase reliability day to day
  • Maintains a team climate of trust, openness, honesty and objectivity and role models effective courageous conversations

To succeed in this role, you should have the following skills and experience

  • Bachelor’s degree in business or related field preferred
  • Diversified work experience in an operational environment (manufacturing, warehouse, distribution or service)
  • Proven track record of successfully coaching and mentoring associates for high performance
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office applications
  • Ability to drive change and challenge the status quo. Ability to provide thoughtful, reasoned explanations for improvement suggestions.  A positive belief in the Kaizen process and Lean methodology.
